Celebrating Libraries Week in Denbighshire

Libraries Week 2017
Libraries Week 9-14 October is a chance to discover the range of things you can do at your library, from play and learning for children, to managing your health, to accessing wifi and internet, to finding a job, a hobby or starting a business. It’s the annual showcase of all the creative, innovative and diverse activities that UK libraries have to offer.

As well as all the usual services and activities, the following special events have been planned in Denbighshire and local people are warmly invited to call in:

Monday October 9th
Author visit to Prestatyn Library by young adult and children’s author Phil Earle
Morning and afternoon: events for pupils of Prestatyn High and Ysgol Glan Clwyd

An evening with author Phil Earle in Prestatyn Library at 7.00pm
Tickets £3, free for under 18s

Tuesday October 10th
Health and Wellbeing Fair at Rhyl Library 10am-4pm
Come and meet groups and organisations which could help and support your health and wellbeing in the community.

Among the services at the Fair will be Talking Points, OPUS, British Heart Foundation Cymru, Betsi Cadwaladr Health Board, Alzheimer’s Society, Housebound Library Service, Llandrillo College, and Denbighshire Care and Repair.

Wednesday October 11th
Discover Digital: drop-in session in Denbigh Library 2.30-4.30
Come and discover all the digital resources available free to library members

Thursday October 12th
Discover Digital: drop-in session in Ruthin Library 2.30-4.30
Come and discover all the digital resources available free to library members. Tea and cake to mark 25 years since the library moved to its present building.

Bookstart Rhymetime with the Big Blue Bear
Bookstart rhyme and song time with a special appearance by the Big Blue Bear!
Rhyl Library 9.30 (0-4yr olds) or 11.00 (babies under 1)
Prestatyn Library 1.30 (0-4 yr olds)
